Chose this hotel based on reviews, location, and price inclusive of breakfast which was better than what other hotels were offering. We found the location good being about 10 minutes walk to the centre of the main street. We asked for a quiet room and got it on the fifth floor. The windows on the corridor outside the room gave a great view across the city. Breakfast was more than sufficient, all cold save for porridge - salami, ham, cheese, bread, eggs, peppers, fruit etc. Whilst busy at breakfast we never saw anyone having to wait for a table or any queues at the service stations. There was a nice bar area downstairs with happy hour pricing from late afternoon to 8pm - 900kr for beer and wine - which was welcomed. Staff were all pleasant, room was clean and common areas also clean and tidy with some Christmas decorations up which was a nice touch. There is a cafe 2 minutes from the hotel (which we did not use) and a baker / cafe about 5 minutes away (Brik) which we liked very much - serving pastries savoury and sweet and great coffee. Sundhollin thermal pool is close by which is recommended after a day walking. We would stay here again.

The staff were helpful, especially one of the men on reception. I was given vouchers for a free drink for my birthday. The barman was helpful and ensured I had a good measure for my birthday drink! We asked if we could order a takeaway to be delivered, and he was extremely helpful recommending how to achieve this, and supplying us with disposable cutlery. The room was clean, with tea and coffee making facilities. The room does not get cleaned unless you ask them to clean it. There was shampoo and conditioner, along with bars of soap, but no shower gel. The breakfast was fairly good, including sweet melon, fruit, cereals, and a typical continental selection. The location was good, and an easy walk into the town and a local supermarket.

Staff were very kind; location was excellent for sightseeing both the capital and the surrounding areas. The hotel is located within 10min walk of the city center and its main sights, but it is also close to some of the main roads making it easy to leave Rejkjiavik for excursions. The availability of a garage was great while also there was free parking available within a 200m. The breakfast was great value for money and there are several supermarkets within 10min walk for extra items if needed. The bar is a lovely place for gathering and chatting and there is a game room with a billiards table, which was a fun way to relax in the evening. Rooms are spotless and very comfortable too.

Convinient location, few steps from busy streets. Many attractions you may reach by foot. Bus stops very close if you want to use public transport. Unlike to some other downtown hotels, you may order pick up from hotel in msjority of tours. Breakfast is a big plus, having in mind prices in Reykyavik. Rooms are comfortable, we had room at the corner, very big bathroom and spacios room for two. We were able to check in earlier, if room is ready, they allow it.

Good location, just near the end of the "main drag" in Reykjavik. Very easy to walk to restaurants, bars, shops, etc. The heated garage was nice for our winter trip, though lining up the car properly to get out of the garage is a little tight. Breakfast was a simple yet adequate "cold buffet," including hardboiled eggs, meat, cheese, fruit, vegetables, skyr, oatmeal, bread, and cereal. They also have machines for espresso, coffee, tea, etc.
